As the majority of the video game market is dominated by space marines and zombies(or some combination of the two), it is comforting to know that there are still games being made that can melt your face off… with cuteness.
Enter Sissy’s Magical Ponycorn Adventure, a flash based game made by five-year-old Cassie Creighton and her father, Ryan. While her father is a programmer by trade, Cassie drew all of the game’s art, voiced the main character, and even designed some of the puzzles for this adorable little game. Her father has documented the creation and execution of this charming indie game at his blog, which is almost as cute as the game itself. Please do what you can to support this project, and others like it.
The entire story gives me hope as a future geek father to one day force my love for video games on not only my wife, but also our children, who will no doubt adore me for this(until they learn how to resent me with unbridled fury).
